The revised rates will be applicable for all the BSNL pre-paid and post-paid mobile users as well. The rural customers will have to pay 80 paise per minute for the STD calls. Charges for intra-circle calls to BSNL network were also reduced from Rs. 1.20 per minute to 60 paise. For the mobile phone customers, STD rates were reduced to Rs. 1.20 for the same network and Rs. 1.40 for other networks. Attractive schemes are also to be announced by the PSU to increase broadband subscribers from 20 lakh to one crore by 2010.
